Sustainable and Autonomous Communities Initiative

The Sustainable and Autonomous Communities Initiative (SACI) is a project of the Center for Natural Living which aims to further the proliferation of sustainable and autonomous communities.

SACI will accomplish this by engaging in the following three activities:

1. Studying past and existing sustainable and/or autonomous communities
2. Educating the public about the value of sustainable and autonomous communities
3. Building and helping others to build sustainable and autonomous communities

Of the many values a community of people can adhere to, we believe sustainability and autonomy to be of the upmost importance.

What is a sustainable community??

Sustainable communities are associations of like minded individuals and families living cooperatively in the same general geographic area who are self sufficient and live in a manner in balance with the ecosystems that surround them.

What does it mean for a community to be autonomous?

Autonomous communities are groups of individuals and families that are able to practice self-determination and are not subjected to non-consensual authorities of any kind.

Our long term goal is clear – a sustainable world full of autonomous communities living in peaceful co-existence.

Will you join us?

  1. I live in the Cedar Park/Leander area and I produce biodiesel. I just built my processor and wash system and will be producing my first 2 batches this weekend. I am gearing up for larger scale production and plan to produce a couple hundred gallons a month.

Shortly, I will be able to sell. I am only going to sell to libertarians, voluntarists, and rebels of all kinds who have no problem with my agorist business model. If you have a diesel car or truck, hit me up and I should be able to start making drop offs on a bi-weekly or monthly basis to meet your fuel needs.

  2. Dear John,

Are there any teams forming or formed who bring capital and an executive summary to the table for the purposes of land purchase, housing development and social cohesion among community members? If so, I’d like to participate.

If none yet, I’d like assistance in launching such a team.

The mission of the 501c3 resonates with me. The vision of establishing a sustainable autonomous community has been a long time dream.

I look forward to connecting with you.

    At Your Service,
    Christine Hassell
